Beyond the Booking: How Sim Operators Build Loyalty
You already know leagues fill bays. The harder question is what makes players come back for the next one, and the one after that. Join us to hear from an operator who runs leagues across multiple venues and has turned first-time bookings into a crowd that shows up every week.
Walk-ins are not a winter plan
Peak season is coming. If your bays only fill when someone happens to book, your busiest months run on hope. Filling a bay once is the part anyone can do. Getting that player to come back is the work.
ONE-AND-DONE PLAYERS
They book once, have a great time, and never come back. Nothing turns a visit into a habit.
EMPTY WEEKNIGHT BAYS
Fixed costs run seven days a week. Bay revenue doesn't. The gap between the two is your slow nights.
NOTHING BETWEEN VISITS
Once a player leaves, there's no reason to think about your bays again. So they book wherever is closest next time.
He builds the crowd, not just the bookings
Ryan Kahl runs the leagues at GOLFZON Social, where the goal is to be more than somewhere you book a bay. He builds community on purpose, through leagues, memberships, events, and regular programming that give players a reason to know each other. The measure he watches is not the first booking. It is whether, by visit ten, players feel like they are coming back to their place.
On October 21st he's sharing what that takes, from the two-person format that keeps players committed to the weekly communication that keeps them connected between visits.

Nothing good happens in the back office
A player swap and a frost delay. Two things that used to pull you out of the pro shop, away from a lesson, or out of a conversation with a member. Watch how both get handled now with a simple voice command on your phone.
Inside a league built to bring players back
Welcome and introductions
A quick hello from your moderator, plus the short version for anyone new: Golf Genius Tournament Management is the most comprehensive tournament management platform available today, and sim facilities are using it to run the leagues that keep players coming back.
Meet Ryan Kahl
An introduction to GOLFZON Social and what it takes to run leagues across multiple venues, where the measure of success is not the first booking but the tenth.
Why players do not come back
The honest version. A player books a bay, has a great round, and disappears. Ryan shares what he sees behind that pattern and what has to change for the second visit to happen at all.
The formats that build regulars
What Ryan runs and why. The league and event formats that give players a reason to return, how standings and season-long play keep them connected between visits, and what that does for the slow parts of the calendar.
Live Q&A
Bring your questions for Ryan and the moderator. Ask about the formats, the community side, and what it takes to head into winter with players already committed.
Build your season before it starts.
